Surrender Is Not Doing It’s Just Recognition
Surrender is not a doing but a recognition that there is no individual doer—everything plays on the screen of one Being, and seeing this false idea of control is enough.
What is the means of prayer in this Consciousness?
Anything that takes us away from considering our self to be this limited idenHty and this limited idenHty (as you know) is made up of ‘Doer-ship, Desire and Duality’. So when we pray [Gestures of hand folded] at least we… we might be even praying for our desire, but at least we are ge^ng rid of this ‘doer-ship’ part… ‘You are the doer please’ - Anything that takes us away from these three 'D’s’ is good.
Because in this Consciousness… I t is observed that somebody needs help, some things should happen.
Yes, in Consciousness, when you take yourself to be Consciousness there is no use of anything at all, no acHvity, it’s like a zero-sum game. It’s only when Consciousness taking itself to be something limited then we use terms of ‘What is useful and what is not useful’ and then you would define ‘useful’ as that which takes you away from the limited idenHty and ‘useless or maybe harmful’ as that which adds to your idenHty, limited idenHty. But for that Being…
If everything is just a witnessed, is that enough?
Of course, everything is just only witnessed. [Smiles] To see that ‘my idea of control in the way I thought I was controlling one body’, is false - is enough. That is why one great Master (I was with) said that ‘Surrender is not a doing, it is just a recogniHon.’ You recognize the way things always were and you realize that there was no such individual doer. So it is just a recogniHon that, this one, in the light of this one Being, on the screen of this one Being, all of this play of light and sound is happening. Who is doing it right now? Who is hearing right now? Who is doing the hearing?
Awareness.
That’s it. Awareness in its manifest aspect as Consciousness is playing this game of percepHon.
