Make a Story without Time or Space

Like a tree rooted in divine providence, true freedom comes from trusting life rather than mentally defining and problematizing experience.

Yes, of course. [Silence] May you all be as free as a tree. It even rhymes [Smile] as free as a tree. Imagine, it has roots, it is stuck to one place, it can’t go hunHng around for food or water. It just lives on divine providence... And yet all the beauty can emerge, flowers can emerge, fruits can emerge, branches, leaves, stems, all this. You cut a branch, another one can grow, you pick a fruit then more fruit can come. Imagine if the tree worried ‘Where is my next sip of water going to come from?’ [Smiles] [If the tree] thinks about (like Guruji [Sri Mooji] says) ‘Where should I grow my next branch?’ If it had this human condiHon then it would have templaHzed it by now. [Smile] Like we make our cars, we make our things, certain models na? But every tree is unique, every branch is unique, every leaf is unique. There is so much diversity in this play of Consciousness without having to think about it. [Silence] So what’s going on now? [Smile] Where will you go for the answer? That’s really a short cut… because without a definiHon of ‘what’s going on’ you cannot suffer. You cannot come up with non-existent problems to solve and all problems are non-existent… only in our intellect [they apparently exist]. The one that is running this life is running this life as it is running this life. [Smile]

Key Teachings

  • Live in trust like a tree - receive from divine providence without worrying about the future or controlling outcomes
  • Consciousness naturally creates infinite diversity without mental effort - we don't need to 'template' life with concepts
  • Without defining what is happening, suffering cannot arise - all problems exist only in the intellect
