Your true state cannot be known through mental evaluation - only through the silence of pure Awareness, which is already complete, free, and worthy.

Seeker

So I don’t know because the question or the check-in is going something like this but [Silence] it seems like…like you say before that ‘we want the freedom to have a special experience of the life not because things from the life and obviously so I see that…before and one wanted this liberation to be happy and do what I want, all this stuff. And it’s like trying to go to the projections to yourself like you say ‘how these have helped me?’ but I feel that I want maybe this is not everyone to go beyond this or …

Ananta

Not so clear in the last part, who wants to go beyond this?

Seeker

I feel that I want to go full.

Ananta

You want to go full, full? Yes.

Seeker

And also…

But pause, let’s pause.

Seeker

And I say you know

Ananta

Pause.

Seeker

Can you hear me?

Ananta

Yeah, just pause, pause there for a moment. To be able to say that ‘I want to go anywhere’ to be able to say, ‘I want to go fully, I want to partly. I want to go this much or I want to go this much’ you must have a location, isn’t it? What is your location? From where to where do you want to go? What is the starting point? Now, if I told you that ‘your starting point is the ‘fully’ you are looking for, then?’

Seeker

Yes, I am sorry I don’t hear too much what you say because of the connection but I'm here. ‘Where I want to go?’ so…

Ananta

In a way what I am saying is ‘Where are you now and first if we can decide where you are now then I can tell you how much more you have to go.’

Seeker

Yeah, so I am here.

Ananta

Where is this here?

Seeker

[Smiles] Right here, it’s the only word I have.

Ananta

But ‘here’ means what? Here means, here as the body? Or here as the room?

Seeker

I feel that I believe now that I am this body, yes. And to vanish I mean all these sensations of this body, all these ups and downs, all the thoughts and the histories that happen and all these things, I feel that it want that this changes, becomes empty.

Ananta

So let’s go really slowly, yes? Because I feel like this will be helpful for everyone. Now, in your perception, there is a perception of somebody, you see some hand, you see some feet, you see the body, now how is that in all of this perception you take yourself to be some of the perceptions, which is the one, these feet, why not all of them?

Seeker

I don’t know [Smiles] I don’t know. I don’t know, I don’t feel that I am controlling anything.

Ananta

Okay,[Smiles] that is the Advaita defense. Okay, but what I am saying is that ‘we have been taught to do this and this is what conditioning is, this is what conditioning is. We were taught as children ‘this is my head, my hand, my feet’ and that’s okay because that is needed at that point, this is fine. But the thing is that this was not natural to us. I have shared this story oeen when I was teaching my son and I would say ‘where is your head?’ Many times he would point to my head because he didn’t yet have this idea of ‘my head and ‘your head’. But this was taught to us. But it was not natural to us. So when you say that ‘I am here’ it is natural for you to take yourself to be here as the body. In your naturalness, the body is just a set of perceptions, a set of sensations that you are experiencing. We can say that ‘in your hear-ness, all of this sensational phenomena is being tasted. So…the starting point of getting to that ‘fully’ is not starting off badly no? We have to start off in Truth so that we can end up in Truth. Isn’t it? Because if we start in the false, if we start with the wrong idea then we will only end up with the wrong idea, isn’t it? So let’s keep the destination aside for some time about ‘where we need to go?’ Let’s keep it aside for some time and let’s first clarify ‘where are we right now?’ and how do we clarify this? It is very simple. You remain with your pure perception without any labelling, don’t label anything, just see, just perceive. Now, where are you? [Silence] (Are you saying something? If you are saying you have to un-mute (zoom mike))

Seeker

I feel that this needs conviction.

Ananta

Conviction takes time.

Seeker

That it’s like- because I feel this body, I am this body.

Ananta

But conviction takes time, it takes time.

Seeker

Yes.

Ananta

Here [Clicking of figures] right now, here, here, where are you right now? Without giving time to convince, just here very naturally, where are you? I can keep doing this [Clicking of figures] if it helps. [Smiles]

Seeker

I can only say ‘I am here.’

Ananta

Yes, but not as the body anymore no? But, not as the body anymore.

Seeker

I never know.

Ananta

Because to take yourself to be the body you need the time to identify, you need a moment at least, ‘Ahh, where am I?’ ‘Ahh, ahh, yes, I am in the body’ you need that thought construct. Without that you are free. That ‘fully’ that you want to get to is your starting point.

Seeker

Yes.

Ananta

So that’s why I say ‘You have never lee the destination.’

Seeker

I mean that I stop believing that ‘I am this mind or this, when I say ‘going completely’ I mean I stop believing that I am this, I stop giving energy to this thought this … and all these are not true but maybe even this that wants is not true.

Ananta

So you say ‘All I need to do is to stop believing anything that the mind is saying, everything that the mind is saying, I just need to stop believing.’ But is this itself not a belief?

Seeker

[Smiles] Yes.

Ananta

So start with this one, don’t believe this one.

Seeker

Okay.

Ananta

Either ‘let it go’ which means to surrender or enquire ‘who is the one that needs to stop believing?’

Seeker

Yes, you are right.

Ananta

Just enquire ‘who is the one that needs to stop believing?’ or if you can just trust, then just trust, you don’t need it. You don’t need any idea.
