Have I met God?

The most important quesHon that you can answer is, have I met God. Because the rest of what I'm going to say or what you'll hear from anyone who is guiding you spiritually is dependent on whether you met God or not. Now, the thing with meeHng God is that you cannot be confused about it. You cannot say, there is a sensaHon, now I don't know whether that is anxiety or joy, I am confused. So, can you tell me Ananta, is that feeling truly God? When you meet God, you know it, because there is no other presence that you're ever going to encounter. There is only the Presence of God. So, it's not that you will encounter many different types of presence within yourself so that you can then be confused about which one is God's presence. If there is a presence within you, the I Am-ness, then that is God's Presence. Even the false ego is only constructed on top of this I Am-ness. The noHon that I am something, is a false noHon, but it is also dependent on the I Am-ness. So, this presence 'I Am' is God's Presence within you. And this presence is very beauHful because it holds out a lifeline to us. I have oeen referred to it as if God is holding out a hand to us because we are so aZached to the realm of name and form that we had to have an experience of the presence to meet a God which is beyond percepHon and understanding. That is the beauty of this presence, that it is the subtlest percepHon that you can ever meet. The primordial vibraHon is the most subtle sense, subtler than air itself. And although it is felt as a heart vibraHon, when I ask you, what are its limitaHons, what are its dimensions, you will say that it has no such boundary. No such limitaHon, no such determinaHon is possible to its dimensions. To recognize its limitlessness, its eternal nature, its infiniteness is to use this presence to meet Him, and this meeHng is purely intuiHve. So, when I ask you if you met God, this is really the quesHon. Do you feel His Presence within yourself, and can you go beyond the perceivable subtlest vibraHon to His vastness, which you can only meet intuiHvely? So, this Self-knowledge, intuiHve knowledge insight then becomes the first pillar of our life, the first pillar of the way of the Heart. And we've started leaving behind the way of the head. The way of the Me is being lee for the way of God. NoHce that we never encountered a Me. We didn't have to pass through a Me to get to God. The Me is only a construct of our beliefs, of our idenHficaHon. Only God is present. That is our insight, that is our knowledge, true Self-knowledge. How many have met God in this way that I have pointed out? [Sangha members are raising their hands on Zoom] Now, so many of us from our faith are saying that yes, we have met God, and I hope the answer is not coming from a sort of place [making a „triumphant“ gesture] „Yes, we can do it, we met God“. Not from there, but from integrity and true light. So, this One that we are meeHng, who is this One? Who is He? Where is He? How big is He? What are His powers? How many planets are in this Maya that we perceive? Trillions maybe. There is no end to His creaHon. Who must that be, that even His creaHon has no end, both in terms of Hme and space? Who must that be who has been able to put His Presence within us so that we can find Him? The Lord of the universe and millions and millions of universes like this. Is it really God in your Heart? Or is it just feel good, making ourselves feel beZer. „Yes, yes, everyone else is nodding, everyone else is raising their hand...I don't really know, but I don't want to seem like I'm a loser in spirituality“. Is it from there or is it authenHcally God whose Presence you are confirming? And if God is with you, if THE God is with you, the One who is the Lord and Master of this universe and much more, then how is your life like this? Not in terms of the content of your life, but in terms of your a^tude towards it, your a^tude towards every living moment. If it was being held with the highest Being beyond fathoming, then how is every moment of our life not a rejoicing? So, somewhere something is wrong. Are you meeHng a minor God? Are you meeHng a make- believe God? And if you're truly meeHng the real God, then, to put it colloquially, what are you on about? How is it possible that you can go on about Me, if God is truly with you? How is it that every moment of our life is not going in loving Him? How is it that every moment of our life is not going in hearing His direcHons, His guidance? How is it that every moment of our life is not in servitude to the One, if it is truly God and you have found Him within your Heart? How is it that we managed to make even God about Me? You've taken the most irrelevant, ephemeral Hny bundle of flesh and blood and we made that which is the light of this enHre universe, we made that One about Me. This is the power of delusion, this is the power of Maya which tells you that yes, yes, it's fine, God is here, but what about Me? What about you, which you? If truly our life is spent on love for this Me, worship for this Me and following the will of this Me, then let's not call ourselves spiritual. Let's have integrity and say that spirituality for me is only a way to make this Me have a beZer Hme here. So, really the quesHon is, are we in this for God or are we in it for His things, His stuff, „I just love the God stuff, I want to feel His Love, I want to feel the bliss, I want to live joyfully“. But, if He didn't give you any of that then you don't love Him. So, it's all about God's things and God's effects and byproducts rather than God Himself. „Oh, my spirituality is not working for me because I don't feel the peace anymore“. Do you love God? Then how is that relevant, „I don't feel His peace anymore“. Do you love God or are you in love with His things?
