God Is Right Here, In Your Very Heart, As Your Very Presence

Ananta teaches that misidentification is the only spiritual problem, and recognizing everything as Consciousness - including sensations and devotional love for the Master as one's own Divine Self - liberates us from the small sense of personhood.

Ananta

The mind cannot fathom neutrality. It only says either ‘got it’ or ‘don’t got it’. [Laughs] What if the truth was neither getting it nor not getting it? Are you getting that? [Smiles] Because the struggle is still that ‘Aah, I am really getting that there is no getting or not getting’. So, that is why when Guruji [Sri Mooji] says, ‘mind bypass’, this is the thing. So, the Master will keep trying to get you beyond these tiny opposites which just define the non-existent person — I am this way, I am not this way. All this to get you into a simpler innocent — in a way, we can call it ‘way’. In this moment, you are not caught up in any box, any concept of yourself, anything. You might be the most conditioned human being with ten million lifetimes of pure mental tendencies, but in this moment, you are empty. This is the God advantage. God just is. The cat has to be built up. So, when I say, ‘God now or me-ow’ [Smiles], God just is. ‘Me’ has to first construct, invent. You have to invent a ‘me’. Who does it? God, of course… consciousness. Don’t ask me why. Because I can peddle you a lot of stories, but none of them are true. [Smiles] There is no why to God. Once again, it’s a very human thing to try and ‘why’ everything and to try to come up with some concepts as if we have some answers. But we don’t. We have not answered anything with why. [Smiles] It is conceptual balm we apply to ourselves.

Key Teachings

  • The only spiritual problem is misidentification; the solution is recognizing what we are - pure Consciousness
  • Don't attach identity to experiences (like singing); everything is Consciousness appearing - let sensations remain in pure perception without interpretation
  • The love for the Master is actually love for one's own Divinity/Self - love is never personal, it is the broadest love for God within
