Fresh God Is Here
Ananta uses physical movement and snapping to push seekers away from spiritual stagnation, insisting that even stillness and spiritual states become stale - only fresh, continual presence remains alive.
Leave the bus - you come with me! [Laughs]. Move, move, move, move, move [Continually snapping fingers] … Nothing is happening, nothing is happening. Nothing has to be fixed. Nothing to think about. Nothing to resolve. Nothing to contemplate. Nothing to be still. Nothing to find … move, move, move, move, move. You’re not doing it right, you’re not doing it wrong, forget it … come, come, come. [To a Being in Sangha] Moving or no? Move … keep moving! [Laughs] Settling! Too much stillness in this room. Come on! Snap out of it … no stillness allowed. For stillness there is a separate hall, you go there. Here you keep moving. [To a Being in Sangha] This One has given up [Laughs] … ‘I’m getting off this bus, I don’t like…. ’ [Laughs]. [Speaking on behalf of the seeker] ‘What does this mean?’ Nothing! Come, you come! Try it this way now. You’ve tried it the other way long enough. Come, you’re on the Guru train as Bhagwan [Sri Ramana Maharishi] says, come on, leave the rest, come on. [Tapping his seat] Come, come, come [laughs]. No position, no settling, no nothing, nothing. Who is becoming too still? Snap out of it. No stillness here, at all. Move, move, move [snapping fingers]. Moving? Still settling? [Laughs]… come on! Too still. Move, move, move, move, move. Who’s becoming still again? [Snapping fingers] Last time we were doing like this, everybody in the room started sweating in ten minutes [Laughs]. As if it’s some physical exercise or something.
Fresh, fresh, fresh, fresh, fresh! No stale stuff allowed. No stale state. No stale idea. No stale contemplation. No stale conclusion. Nothing. Stale God - definitely not. Some old image is coming, forget it. Fresh God is here, [snapping fingers] fresh God… fresh, fresh, fresh. Settling? Settling? [To a Being in Sangha, snapping fingers] Where are you?
You caught me!
[Jokingly copying Sangha Being’s behavior] ‘I’m going to enjoy being still’. [Laughs]
It was something… [inaudible]
[Jokingly copying Sangha Being’s behavior] ‘Let him go for a bit. I’ll catch up later. Let me enjoy this heart’. Nothing good will come out of that stuff, nothing good. Move [Laughs]. [Snapping fingers] Come back in the bus! Come on, come on, fresh, fresh. Whatever you create as ideas, forget it. Leave it, leave it! Come. Move, move, move. Don’t stop anywhere, anywhere. [To a Sangha Being] You also! Come on. All the awakened ones are not exempt from this exercise … come, come … [Laughs, jokingly indicating falling asleep]. Come, come, come [snapping fingers].
Father can we look at something …
[Shakes his head] We are trying hard to think, but not let our eyes show it. Thinking but keep my eyes very … [feigns meditative eyes]. Move, move, move.
[Inaudible] … how to relax!
Don’t relax! Don’t relax. Don’t relax at all! [Laughs, speaking to a Sangha Being] You are understanding. Come, move! If you are understanding you’re not moving. Move, move!
We should turn on the fan…
It’s starting to get hot. Come on, no stopping [snapping fingers, indicates continual movement with hand] … come on, come on. [Jokingly copying Sangha Being], [Inaudible] … ‘I’m tired’. But what are you doing to get tired?! [Laughs] The letting go is tiring, or what is tiring? All of you look wiped out! [Laughs, feigns exhaustion]
It’s so hot Father!
It’s so hot! I’m the one who is consuming all this energy! She’s looking at the fan … put it on! [Laughs] Fresh, fresh, fresh…fresh…fresh. Move, move… move, move, move. Whatever you’re holding, leave it. Just come. You’re on the bus, move, move, move. [Snapping fingers] Who’s going for stale stuff? Who’s going for state stuff? Leave it, leave it. Come here, come here, move, come with me. Stale stuff, stale stuff? Leave it, leave it, leave it… … Fresh, fresh, fresh, fresh, fresh!
Key Teachings
- Don't settle into any state - even stillness becomes stale and blocks true awareness
- Everything must remain fresh including God, ideas, conclusions, and spiritual states - reject all stale stuff
- Keep moving and don't stop anywhere - the Guru train requires continual movement, not meditative settling
