Don’t Make Any References to the ‘I’
Don't make any references to the false 'I' - losing all identification with what you are not leads to the reference-less emptiness that Masters speak of.
[Reading from the chat] Father one quesHon, let us suppose I love painHng and that it’s my heart and soul. Could you please explain, for the ‘I’ to go should one drop away idenHficaHon with painHng?
No, no, you don’t have to drop anything expect the idenHficaHon with that which you are not. The ‘I’ which you are not, don’t make any references to the false ‘I’. It basically simply means - don’t make any references to the I. Because you cannot reference it to the Truth anyway. The reference-less-ness is the empHness which all the Masters speak about. To lose the ‘I-thought’ is to lose all references to the ‘I.’ Now in the manifest expression of the same Self, all kinds of beauty or things maybe not so beauHful in our minds may also unfold, and that’s fine. So who is the ‘I’ that loves painHng or doesn’t love, likes and dislikes, desire and aversions? Just lose all references to that one.
Key Teachings
- You don't need to drop anything except identification with what you are not - the false 'I'
- Reference-less-ness (emptiness) is the goal - don't make any references to the 'I' since you cannot reference it to Truth anyway
- To lose the 'I-thought' is to lose all references to the 'I' - including loves, dislikes, desires, and aversions
