Are You Dependent on Any Story?

Confusing is good or bad? If you are confused about that, then that’s good. Did we come to Satsang for intellectual understanding? All intellectual understanding you have already, you’ve read enough books, seen enough Satsang. There’s nothing new that you will hear in Satsang which will give you now fresh intellectual understanding. But how will you go beyond this limiting intellect? That which you think is going to be your savior is actually your oppressor … your intellect. You think that once you are convinced and you have the right answer there … that is actually what is making you suffer. Because in your conceptual framework there’ll always be a gap, there’ll always be something missing. You keep trying to fill that up, trying to understand. That’s why everyone always feels like they’re almost free. Everyone feels like, ‘I’m almost there… almost there’. What is that a statement of? It is just a statement of your intellectual report, which always seems like, ‘There’s just little bit gap left’. So don’t fall for the same old tricks. Maybe some of you joined a little later… what we’re just doing is that, considering everything that is even a moment old is stale, is not fresh. So you just stay fresh [snaps fingers] with me. There’s nothing to understand really, nothing to figure out. No Truth has gone missing in your freshness. You may feel like, ‘But I left my greatest intellectual understanding behind’. But that intellectual understanding would not have been the Truth. The Truth is apparent to you now, in your freshness, never in some stale idea, never in some notion. And those who’ve invested a lot in these ideas and the nourishment of these ideas, for them it can seem like a bit of a challenge, a bit of effort … [Snaps fingers] just you let go, let go, let go.
