A Zoom Full Of Sages

All thoughts are mental constructions, not Reality; when you stop believing them and rest as Awareness, suffering ends.

So, let’s try this out. So, let’s be empty, empty, open and empty, completely fresh and open right now and you don’t have to ask yourself anything, you don’t have to use any pointer, nothing at all. [Silence] And the game is: You have to let every thought just come and go. Don’t serve it tea. Don’t serve it tea means don’t take it to be real. Don’t take it to be the Truth. Just let it come and go. But, when you take a thought to be true, a true valid representative of Reality, then, use the pointer ‘Am I aware now?’ Okay? So the game is clear? Empty and fresh, right now, so we’re starting again. Don’t worry, score is zero – zero and… [Laughing] just let the thoughts go. And if you don’t think it’s very strong then we’ll consider that you let it go. If you take something to be absolutely true, that this notion is certainly Reality, it is certainly true, then use the pointer ‘Am I aware now?’ and let it go. Because whatever the content of the thought may be, it can never apply to your reality, to Awareness. Ok, so, fresh, fresh, fresh [waving hands] [Silence, looking at the participants in the Zoom] And when you buy into a notion, just count: ‘one’, with your hand, I want to see. I can see most of you, so, just: ‘one, two, three’, like that. With every notion that you take to be absolutely true, just let the counter go up by one. [Silence, looking at the participants in the Zoom] Look at that, look at how free everyone is. You don’t buy into this notions, okay, I’m going to speak them on your behalf, you let them go like the mind. Look at this. Some are being honest. No, I’m just messing with you. [Silence] Look at that! This is what coming to Zero looks like. [Smiling] And whatever count you have up, if you have a count up, don’t bother with it, don’t worry about it. Okay, so, starting again [waving hands] empty, empty, empty. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Everything is allowed to go. Nothing will be bought. Just come and go. If you are buying an idea that it’s only energetic now, than that’s one, okay? It’s just an idea, let it come and let it go. If you’re buying a notion that this has to stay like this and I have to hold on to this then that’s an idea, let it come and let it go. Whatever you may be thinking it is only a thought. [Silence] No thought is reality. [Silence, looking at the participants in the Zoom] So, some thoughts are there, in the chat, like ‘If language is a mental construction and fabricated then whatever…’ Is just a thought. Then, one says: ‘It is just that thoughts are afraid to appear in your Presence.’ [Laughing] Just another thought. Let them come and let them go. [Silence, looking at the participants in the Zoom] There’s no count. This looks like a Zoom full of Sages [Smiling] It’s a Zoom full of Sages. All the ones that are counting have put their videos off. [Chuckling] Okay, so now, I’m going to allow everyone to unmute themselves, whenever they want and if there is a thought that you are absolutely certain it is true, I want you to come up and expose it. And here also, all of you sitting here,[in the Kendra] if there is something that you are absolutely certain it’s true, I want you to expose it. [Reading from the chat] One says: ‘the thought came: “Is this the sense of Being? Or is it Awareness of the sense of Being?” ’ It is just a thought, let it go, don’t worry. [Laughing] One said: ‘What about feelings?’ What about feelings? The ‘What about feelings’ is just a thought, let it go. ‘Thoughts came, thought about Guru, true Guru and Sat Guru, need of Guru…etc’ Just a thought. Guru is also just a thought, let it go. ‘Most loud thought is “What next?”’ It’s just a thought. Let it go. ‘I want to expose that I have not considered any thought to be true from the day I attended your first Satsang’. Just a thought. Let it go. Very good, very good. ‘I am lying in bed’ It’s just a thought. For you to lay in bed you have to be some tiny object inside an object. ‘What about physical discomfort?’ “What about physical discomfort?” in quotes, is just a thought. What about it? [Laughing] Any idea you can have about it, is just an idea you can have about it. ‘I have to think about a thought that I am believing’. Just another thought. ‘This body needs to go to the toilet’ It’s just a thought. [Laughing] When it has to go, it will go. It doesn’t need your thought to go. Or maybe it does, I don’t know. [Laughing] ‘Frozen in identification or fear of going mad’ Just another thought. ‘Mad’ is a thought, ‘identification’ is a thought, ‘going’ is a thought. How come all your counters were zero then, when all these thoughts were there? [Laughing] Or just feeling shy? [Looking at the participants in the Zoom] So, how many of you find this difficult? You can put your hands up. Difficult? So, So? How many find it super easy? Good, good. [Nodding] How many are wondering ‘What happened, why isn’t it happening to me?’ or ‘Is this it? Is this it?’ Maybe that’s a better way to put it: ‘Is that it?’ Nobody’s wondering that? [Laughing] How many believe that: ‘It can’t be that simple’? ‘It has to be more to this, which he’s not telling us’ How many are willing to admit along with me, that every thought is just a thought? Yes? What that means is that it is just a thought, it does not convey Reality, because Reality is beyond its construct.

This is a very important question he is asking [reading from the chat], is the thought I just a thought. Yes. The thought I is just a thought, the Reality I is not a thought. But the “Reality I” quote- unquote is just a thought. The term ‘reality I’ or ‘Absolute’ or whatever you may say is just a thought. One says [reading from the chat] ‘what do you mean it is not even a ‘happening’?’ [Ananta answers] The end of the mind is the end of time. For something to ‘happen’ needs time. But don’t beat yourself about it because the mind will make a benchmark about it and say, ‘Hey hey, I’m still noticing time’, but remember that’s just a thought, let it go. [Pause] So, in this simplicity, is the end of suffering. You see? Now, this is where the term: ‘Do you want to be happy or do you want to be right?’ comes in. Because you saw, that in this simplicity is the end of suffering, there is no problem. But, if you want to carry some righteousness along with this, if you want to be right about something, whatever that something may be, than that is the invention of the ‘me’ and that is opening the door to suffering again. The mind will make every proposal possible, to convince you how you are right about something. But, once you inquire into that proposal, once you look at the validity of that proposal you will realize that it does not contain any undoubtable truth, everything that is proposing is doubtable. The Reality of your Self which you find through true insight is undoubtable. That is the only undoubtable.
